Swindon to Melksham

The train, currently operated by Wessex trains, runs five times a day via Chippenham and takes around 26 minutes.

There is no direct bus service - you have to change buses at Chippenham or Devizes and you'll typically take over 100 minutes. You could make this journey faster by using the train from Swindon to Chippenham and transferring to the bus, but apart from 1 or 2 peak hour services the bus doesn't go anywhere near the station in Chippenham and you would have quite a walk.

The train, currently operated by Wessex trains, runs five times a day via Chippenham and Trowbridge and takes around 45 minutes.

The bus (service X49 via Devizes to Trowbridge, change on to the X4 or X5) runs every hour during the day and takes around 115 minutes.
