Improved signage

Recent improvements to the signage around Melksham and near to the station have lead to an increased visibility for the facilities offered and should lead to an increase in traffic. These improvements should be given time to help traffic levels increase before any slashing of the service is sought / instigated.

The station boasts an information point that gives details of current services and train running, and a notice board that includes a timetable. The provision of further information there (rather than at the top of the station approach) such as a map of the town, and contact points for taxis, would make it much easier for first time visitors to find what they need and make it more likely that they would use the train again.
